Huawei honor 10

Hat's  off of the success of the Honor View 10, Honor is preparing to unveil its next flagship smartphone which is widely expected to be the Honor 10. The company recently sent out press invites for an event on April 19th (as shown in the feature image) where they are expected to announce this device. It will likely feature a 5.8″ screen with a display notch, the HiSilicon Kirin 970 system-on-chip, a camera configuration similar to the recently announced Huawei P20(12MP primary +20MP monochrome), and a gradient color scheme according to a leaked image on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. Now, we are learning more information about the device’s camera capabilities thanks to leaked information posted on our forums and new camera samples shared with us.

According to his source, Honor will be introducing a “semantic image segmentation mode” in their upcoming device. He states that, like some recent smartphones with scene detection, the upcoming Honor device will be capable of detecting “pets, snow, beach, and so on” but that the new camera technology will also be able to detect multiple scenes in the same image and apply different filters at the same time. FunkyHuawei goes on to say that this camera technology can detect the outlines of objects in an image (like the sky, plants, people, water) to identify their location and apply the right filter to each object.
